Reiki is energy of highest vibrational quality. Life force energies are all around us. They are like a rainbow with different spectrums of vibration. There is a certain portion that can be used for good, or another that can be used for selfish, darker purposes. There are different schools of thought about Reiki, but I am going to relate my thoughts on the subject through years of experience. The Reiki attunement process allows the practitioner to access those energies of an extremely high vibrational quality. As each practitioner begins the process of bringing life force energies into their being to channel to another recipient, only those in the spectrum where Reiki exists are permitted to enter. All others are filtered out. In this way, these healing energies are transferred from the surrounding abundant energy supply, filtered, and then channeled through to the recipient, who receives those energies. Thus, Reiki always is used to help and can never be used to harm. The extent of this help depends on the openness of the receiver to these energies. A person who brings strong disbelief to a Reiki session can continually and consciously block the energies. At the end of the session, they may feel slightly relaxed but nothing more. They created their own outcome through their inability to relax and let the energies work in the way they were intended.
    Reiki sessions can be done for animals, plants, objects, and even multiple people at one time. During a session for a human being, the client (or receiver) typically lies in the prone position on a massage table, although a medical exam table, the floor, or a bed is equally suitable. Reiki energies can be transferred in person anywhere two people can meet–even outside under a tree.
    The Reiki practitioner may begin anywhere on the body depending on their training and preference. I like to start at the solar plexus, the point where the cord ties the spiritual to the physical body. I do this to connect to the client on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. The practitioner then lays their hands on the client wherever they intuitively feel it is needed. There are various methods such as starting at the head and working down to the feet. The practitioner also may concentrate on areas that are more negatively affected. This method often is used in cases of trauma, cancer, severe back pain, and other conditions.
    In part because of the individualized qualities of Reiki, each client’s experience will be unique. One of the most common physical sensations is a feeling of heat emanating from the practitioner’s hands. This occurs from the energy transfer between the practitioner and the client. The client also may experience times when they feel light, have incredible emotional releases, see colors, and, in many cases, get so relaxed they fall asleep. The experiences I have witnessed and felt are many and varied. I also have had many clients have spiritual experiences. During the session, they see or hear departed loved ones, angelic presences, or even float above their bodies. These cases are primarily people that are developed along their spiritual path and are more open to these experiences.
    After the session, clients express how good they feel. They are often pain free, relaxed, and in a peaceful and blissful state. In the cases where I have been able to work with people more than once, there have been dramatic improvements in flexibility, reduction in pain, speed in healing traumas and surgeries, and, in some cases, remissions of cancers. One of the reasons I continue to use Reiki not only for family and myself, but also for any that desire to use Reiki as a healing modality is because it works. I have had countless instances of confirmations from clients about how much better they feel and how well they have healed. These confirmations also have come from doctors that are amazed at the speed of healing and the overall improvement of their patients.
    Western medicine is beginning to see the value of Reiki. It is being used throughout the world in health centers and hospitals. Its usage and popularity is continuing to grow as the medical communities are realizing not only its value to heal, but also how it can dramatically save money for institutions through speedy recoveries and reduced hospital stays. Many doctors and nurses are discovering Reiki and other forms of hands-on healing and integrating it with their own practices or referring out to various practitioners. Another positive aspect of Reiki is that it doesn’t take any specialized equipment. It is always with you. All a practitioner needs to do is hold out their hand and transfer the energies. This low-tech approach to health makes it available at any time and any place, which is desirable, especially in more remote areas of the world......

.....Reiki attunements always are interesting. During the attunement process, loved ones, spirit guides, angels, and other beings step forward or are present. The attunement is an awakening for the recipient that is viewed in the realms beyond ours as a time for celebration. Thus, they are there to help add their energies to the event or to celebrate the momentous occasion. During the attunement, loved ones always have stepped forward. I stay attentive and open for those that want to give their congratulations or let the Reiki initiates know they are present. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many others come to share the experience. The results are a more energetic atmosphere. To me, this is proof that all of our loved ones stay connected to us even after they have crossed over. They continue to be involved in our lives to help in ways we are not always aware....

(About Getting Attuned to Reiki Level 1).....The previous night before my training and attunement, I awoke in the middle of the night. My whole body was sweating, and my hands felt incredibly hot. I also had a dream about becoming attuned to Reiki. I knew that my body and spirit were ready to take the next step. The following day, we began a one-on-one training session lasting two days into the theory, application, and practice of Reiki. After those two days, I was ready to be attuned. I had an intuitive feeling that this was something that was going to deeply change my life. I also felt that it was an event that I had been waiting for a long time. The process of awakening was at hand.

The attunement was performed in Randy and Terri’s bedroom. This was a space that was away from the noise of the house. There were many stones and crystals as well as other power objects that made the space highly energetic and perfect for Reiki attunements. They had gone in before me to energetically cleanse the room and to bring in healing angels, spirit guides, and other high vibrational energies. With this attunement, they were going to dramatically open my Third Eye and Crown chakras, as well as place into my hands and heart the first symbol, Cho-Ku-Rei. Randy and Terri were on either side of me, bringing in balance of male and female energies. I sat in a chair with my back straight. As the attunement was performed, the top of my head began to tingle. Through some yogic breathing, strong energies were transferred from my Crown Chakra all the way to the base of my spine. The feeling was intense. Strong, light-filled energies shot through my head and down my back. There was a blinding flash, and my body vibrated. I could feel the energies throughout my whole being. It was incredible. I was deeply energized. From there, the Cho-Ku-Rei symbol was placed into my hands and heart. Randy and Terri congratulated me with a big hug, and I stepped out of the room.

My whole body was vibrating. I was light-headed, and my hands were alive with energy. It was as if I had just awakened from a long sleep. Powerful energies were coursing up and down my body. I wanted to touch everything that was living and transfer the energies that I now had at my disposal. I was filled with light and energy. I felt the touch of the Creator and the universe upon me. I always had been a spiritual person, but this was something that was exciting and new for me. I could now express my spirituality through touch and healing and not just through thanks. I could bring healing energies to anyone and anything that was willing to receive them. I walked around Randy’s house and started transferring the energies to plants, his dogs, and anything else I could find that was alive. I was shining!.....
