
Detoxing The Body
We live in a very toxic environment. There are many different chemicals entering our bodies through what we eat, drink, breathe and touch. It is important to ocassionally detoxify the body. On these pages we will share with you some of the techniques we have used that have helped us to maintain our health, and to release the chemicals that build up that can cause disease.
It is, of course, important to help keep these chemicals from entering the body in the first place. So please be aware of what you are putting into your mouth and the items you choose to have in your living environment. Eating foods that are fresh and minimally processed as well as organically grown are a big step. Also, drinking unchlorinated water or tap water that is filtered also can help. You don't need to go out and buy expensive bottled water, just get yourself a tap filter that takes out chlorine and other contaminants. Drinking lots of water is key in the detox process. Drinking out of plastic bottles, eating out of plastic containers and cooking food in plastic in a microwave are other ways toxins get into our bodies.Use glass cookware, drink out of glass containers, and try to prepare food conventionally and not in a microwave, and it will really help cut down on the amount of detoxing you may need to do.
